We are based in the Saratoga area and work across Albany, Rensselaer, Saratoga and Schenectady counties in New York, Bennington County in Vermont, and Berkshire County in Massachusetts.
The service area runs from the Mohawk Valley up through Saratoga, east across the Hudson into the Rensselaer hill towns, over the state line into southern Vermont, and south through the Berkshires. It is a wide radius for a contractor of our size and there is a reason for it.
Metal and slate work is specialised. Plenty of roofing companies will not quote slate at all, and the ones that do are thin on the ground once you get away from the cities. That leaves homeowners with hundred year old roofs being told their only option is a tear-off, by three different companies in a row. Covering more ground is how we get to those jobs.
The practical consequence of working across three states is that the conditions change underneath you. Snow load in Winhall is not snow load in Colonie. Frost depth is deeper in Bennington County than in Albany County, so footings go deeper. Massachusetts runs its own stretch code and enforces it harder than either neighbour, and several towns add historic district review on top. Specification follows the location, which is the whole point of knowing the area rather than applying one standard everywhere.

About our coverage
Yes, and the width is deliberate rather than accidental. Metal and slate roofing are specialised enough that the homeowners who need them are spread thin. We would rather drive to Bennington or Great Barrington than tell someone with a failing slate roof to keep calling around.
Estimates are free everywhere we work, including Vermont and Massachusetts. On smaller jobs at the very edge of our range we will be upfront about whether it makes sense for us to take it on, rather than quoting a number padded to cover the drive.
Yes, fully insured everywhere we work, New York, Vermont and Massachusetts alike. We also pull the permits each job needs, which matters more here than most places: the three states run different codes, Massachusetts enforces its own stretch code and Vermont holds a stricter energy standard than New York, so working across all three means keeping current with all three.
