Why local matters
Knowing the county is part of the specification
Snow load, frost depth and building code all change across our service area, and Saratoga County is not the same problem as the county next to it. Footing depth, roof structure, fastener pattern and snow retention are decided by where a building actually sits, not by a standard applied everywhere.
The permitting matters too. New York sets the code, but the town enforces it, and what each building department wants to see differs. We handle the permit and the inspections as part of the job.

Yes. The historic districts add review requirements on top of the standard permit, and matching material and profile matters to those reviews. Slate roofing, original trim profiles and period-appropriate detailing are all work we do rather than work we subcontract.
Yes, and there is a good amount of it through Greenfield, Wilton, Northumberland and Charlton. Post frame construction suits these buildings, and metal roofing is almost always the right call on them. Agricultural classification can change the permit position, which we establish before quoting.
We cover them. Those properties sit in the southern Adirondacks and take genuinely heavy snow, so the specification is closer to what we would use in Vermont than what we would use in Clifton Park. Seasonal access is worth discussing early when we schedule the work.
